Cy has been invited by the 1839 Contemporary Gallery in Taipei, Taiwan, to exhibit works in platinum at this year’s Taiwan Photo festival, along with photographer Kenru Izu.
This is the 4th Taiwan Photo festival to be held and it aims to present a broad spectrum of photography from 1839 to the present. The theme this year is Platinum and Palladium, to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the invention of photography.
The show will be held from Thursday 27th of November to Sunday 30th of November at the Shinkong Mitsukoshi Taipei Xinyi Plaza A11, 6th floor, A11 Cultural Center.
This exposition is Taiwan’s only “pure photography” art fair and is hosted by the 1839 Contemporary Gallery. The exhibition will present a wide range of museum-quality work, including contemporary and nineteenth-century photographs, as well as photo-based art.
With three productive years of Taiwan Photo in 2011, 2012 and 2013, Taiwan Photo 2014 aims to keep expanding and building the communication platform of photography with the world by inviting well known international galleries to exhibit in Taiwan whilst helping to widen the public’s perspective in Taiwan’s photography field.
As well as showing work at the festival, Cy will exhibit work at the 1839 Contemporary Gallery in Taipei in 2015.
